This remains the oddest image, I still do not accept that the background red colour was due to aurora, as the picture below which was taken before it, would suggest, more likely that it was due to the streetlights of Bunessan, behind the headland. yet the whole sky was atypically orange.
The fish farm in the foreground was growing slamon under an artificial night and day light regime, and the lights offset the raw geological background in a nice contrast between humanity and nature. That fish farm sees severe weather, and having been associated with the industry for many years across Scotland, I have considerable respect for the abilities and courage of those who grow salmon.
There are downsides, but the best try and mitigate this.
