Double Moonbow over Inchkenneth
Moonbows are not like halos round the moon caused by high ice clouds. Rather they are due to the night equivalent of rainbows, except it is the moon that is reflected and refracted back at you.
This was an odd night, I'd originally hoped for aurora, and got some, then it clouded over, and the moonbow formed in falling rain, it has no colour and is much thinner than a rainbow, but far more evocative, ghostly white. The aurora was too faint to be of value, yet too very evocative.
