Orion setting over the Gribun Headland
This image was truly as it looked, and I apologise if you cannot see it in greater detail, but catching this is a one off, probably only likely to repeat every 4 years or more. It catches a setting northwest moon, high cirrus, and is a vertical merge of 2 images.
I have never seen this picture framed well, and would love to do so. The atmosphere was hauntingly beautiful, if as usual, freezing cold!!
There is a tremendous feeling of emptiness, of being alone, yet the human influence is blatantly there in the form of underwater lighting from a fish farm in the middle distance. Even in such an isolated picture, night photography has caught the influence of humanity in an unusual manner.
